The Keening Blade вЂ“ you get this from a side quest which runs throughout the game called Unbound. Beat it (the Apprentices will help you automatically) and youвЂ™ll get Yusaris. Touch the door to the basement and a fire demon will appear. ItвЂ™s in the room where you met Wynne and there are some children and Apprentices. Once youвЂ™ve done that, go back down to the basement. Then you need to go to the central room shown below and touch the statue with the shield.

She asks the Warden to free her by killing all in the keep's tower. The demon has been locked up in the keep since then and wishes to roam the rest of the world, 'feeding'.
